Briege Murphy is a singer-songwriter of contemporary Irish folk, rooted in the Irish tradition. Her songs have been recorded by many singers, including Niamh Parson, Frances Black and Aoife Scott. Colum Sands called her “Patrick Kavanagh’s spirit- sister”. Briege continues to write and perform and we’re delighted to have her back at the Irvine folk club again.
