The Irvine Folk Club committee and members have decided that it is time for the Marymass folk festival to come to an end; therefore there will be no festival in 2024.
The Folk Festival existed for 54 years and brought a tremendous amount of brilliant music to the town during the days of the Marymass celebrations.
However, in order to keep the connection between Irvine folk club and the town’s Marymass festival it has been decided that Irvine Folk Club will host a Marymass Concert on Friday 23rd August at 8pm in Vineburgh Community Centre. Tickets priced £10 will be on sale from 27th July. This will be a Charity Concert with all profits being donated to Brain Tumour UK charity in memory of Beth Jackson a faithful longtime member of the Club who sadly passed away in June.
The guests at the Marymass Concert will be:
The Quiggs
The Ian Walker Band
John Graham & Jim Jack
Anne and Stevie
Billy Stewart
Marie O’Riordan
Dominic Boyce
Willie Sinclair (the Kilwinning Bard)
